Islam and Science Fiction

The movie Final Cut was directed by Omar Naim who is a Muslim. The movie is set in the near future where everyone has a memory chip implanted in their brain. The is a new profession that has been spun from this new development. These professionals are called cutters and they cut the best scenes from the lives of people and present them at their memorials. Robin Williams is one of the best cutters around. He comes across a person whose live he is cutting and he discovers disturbing truths about his own life.
